Before I was a blogger I was lots of things. I was a dance teacher, an exercise instructor, a bank teller, I was lots of many things not to mention a Party Planner.

Before I got sick I was active and I am trying to stay active even though I have a debilitating illness.  My son has been a fan of Elmo for sometime, he even had an Elmo Birthday party that rocked.  When I saw the tickle Elmo hands toy I figured it would be a good fit. He is two and didn’t really have anything on his “list”. I hadn’t done my research. (tisk tisk) I thought that the Elmo hands were just gloves that were Elmo like. They wiggled and giggled.  I thought my son would like it….it wasn’t a thought out purchase. (the day after Christmas they were on sale for $12.00 at shop-rite but….we won’t talk about that) ANYWAY——– I was surprised/delighted/ecstatic to find a DVD in the box as well.

I thought “Score-DVD and gloves, I did well” well…….not exactly the DVD is not a show, it’s an instructional video of the Elmo groove. It’s a fun and funky dance.  We love the DVD, we love the dance (we do it almost daily) the gloves well…..we like Elmo, we just don’t want to BE Elmo but that’s ok.

This video gets my kids moving and me too. It gets our blood pumping and it beats the heck out of a toddler’s winter blues.

So, Santa didn’t fail but he/she…..ahem….(me) did a good job to get the kids involved in an active play. Even the 6 yr old does the Elmo groove.
